LSU head coach Jay Johnson’s 2024 recruiting class just got a whole lot better Wednesday night.
The Tigers landed arguably the nation’s best 2024 pitcher in Barbe High right-hander Landon Victorian. The 6-3, 180-pound Victorian went 10-1 last season for the Bucs with a 1.04 ERA, striking out 94 batters in only 74 innings of work.
If you’re curious why Victorian is tabbed as a T10 player in the 2024 class, here’s 1:29 to show you. All kinds of starter traits, has low-90s with real carry, a SL @ 78-79 that misses bats & a good CH to LHH. #WWBA https://t.co/CMOAn9y2g2 pic.twitter.com/52OAImkWpG— Tyler Russo (@TRussoPG) July 19, 2022
Victorian chose the Tigers over Texas A&M and the University of Texas.
