College Baseball Best Picks: Friday 3/24
College baseball is in full effect and the games this weekend are going to be electric.
The SEC has some great match-ups, starting with a powerhouse top-5 game with Arkansas(+145) visiting LSU(-180 ML).
More on that in a minute.
Top-5 Florida(-125) also visits defending national champion, Ole Miss(-105) that should be a great match-up, red-hot Kentucky(-110) travels to Alabama(-120) who is having a solid year, Tennessee(-180) hosts Texas A&M(+145) after being swept by Missouri last weekend, and a surprisingly fun match-up Mizzou(+145) travels to South Carolina(-180), a battle two top-25 teams.
I am going to take some light action on some of the games later in the day when the run lines are posted, but as of now, I am going to focus on a two game parlay for my big-boy bet.
Even though I struggled with my picks last weekend due to Tennessee getting waxed by Mizzou, I feel good about my 55-35 record in college baseball to start the year with profits north of $6,000. (Reach out to me to see my spreadsheets!)
The University of Virginia has had a great start to the season, starting 19-2 and are a perfect 13-0 at home, and host Florida State this afternoon.
The game has been pushed up due to weather issues, which always makes me a little nervous but I like Brian O’Connor and his leadership to be able to get his troops ready to play against a struggling Florida State team that has started 12-9, and coming off a mid-week loss to Florida where they blew an early lead.
The line is -180 for UVA ML, so I decided to play on my emotions a little and throw in LSU to win against Arkansas.
I say play my emotions, but LSU absolutely dominates Arkansas on paper, and Arkansas has not played a true road game this year, only playing a few neutral site games, with the rest at home.
Now I know legendary head coach, Dave Van Horn will have his boys ready, an the pitching match-up will be electric…but I am going with Paul Skenes and the boys in purple and gold in a game kicking off at noon due to weather issues later in the day.
I think the boys will be hype, and I hope the LSU faithful skip work and come get Alex Box rocking to put some pressure on the Razorbacks.
I know last weekend stung a little with some of the pick we put on here, but this weekend is for redemption.
