Bets and Breaks Special: Light action as LSU Baseball looks for sweep at Texas A&M
The LSU Tigers baseball team continued it’s hot start this weekend for the start of SEC play with two strong wins at Texas A&M.
.@LSUbaseball (18-1) clinched its weekend series with No. 15 Texas A&M, winning 12-7.

That's 13 wins in a row - matching Kentucky for the longest in D-I at the moment - and it's been an absolutely dominant run.

On Friday night, Paul Skenes proved he is as real as it come, firing 6.1 shutout innings, with 11 punch outs.
If you’re counting, that means Skenes has had double-digit punchies in each star this year. Thats fun.
But, if you follow along with our gambling side of things, I didn’t take any money line or spread action in the LSU game, as I wanted to see the boys play on the road, and with some questionable weather— didn’t feel confident making a pick.
Since one of my picks looked bad pretty early, I took a parlay of Arkansas ML (at home against Auburn) and a run line of under 9 for the Friday night game, only to have it push when A&M gave up a 5 spot in the top of the ninth.
Arkansas won so I still cashed about $90 on a 3.5u play.
If LSU didn’t score those 5 runs in the ninth though….would have made another $500.
Whatever. Shit happens.
However it shook out, LSU looked pretty dominant Friday and back it up Saturday, taking advantage of a ton of A&M walks and HBP’s with some clutch hits, winning 12-7.
Sunday games sometimes are a crapshoot and often a boat race in college baseball, so I will tread lightly today for my picks and maybe even parlay some with college hoops opportunity.
Since we are in Baton Rouge and starting with SEC coverage, I am going to bet LSU out slugs Texas A&M today, and Thatcher Hurd, the potential number one overall pick next year, does enough to keep A&M at bay.
Since the odds are -210 (opened -185) for LSU ML, I will parlay LSU women’s basketball (-490 ML), for some better odds, and ride the Tigers to a win.
The parlay is at -130, and I will probably throw 1.5u on that to win around $110.
LSU Women’s Basketball is the 3 seed in their region, which was complete crap, but I think it was so they can match-up with USC in the final.
LSU won their first game of the tournament against Hawaii 73-50, with Angel Reese dominating the game, having her 29th double-double with 34 points and 15 boards.
With LSU at home, Bayou Barbie doing her thing, and LSU probably higher than a 3-seed, I like our chances with LSU Baseball.
